If you are going into this thinking it’s a straightforward romcom, that’s on you. Media literacy is dying and I think many will miss the point of this one. That said, I loved the darkly comedic exploration of morals and ethics, suitable for the Boston setting. The politic of race, gender, and woke-ism is made so tangible and the break into the film’s third act really nails how all of that comes together. Honestly, a great case for being single. Hailey Benton Gates always steals the scene.
