Denzel Washington should be billed as a lead actor for this. To me, this was the rare sequel that outpaces its predecessor by miles. It is a 5-star movie, but some of the elements that make it so also make it a lesser film. I think I’ll be rewatching this the rest of my life just for the Shakespearean masterclass given by Washington. Fred Hechinger’s performance won’t be spoken about enough, but it is what it is.
