This was better than I thought it would be. I look forward to seeing Brittany O’Grady do more work. The story of this film could have been really simplistic, but there are enough twists and turns to elevate its narrative out to the realm of being basic. The dramatic center is also not there just to drive the horror; in many ways, it is the horror, which gives the film a certain gravitas that narrowly avoids being too self-serious.
