I thought this would be better. And I’m here to celebrate Aubrey Plaza as a star, but I’d rather her do fewer projects and have them be smashes. Instead, we get the odd one like this that doesn’t quite hit. The fear of love and losing narrative is so boring to me. I would rather see a film that encourages loving as hard as we can, instead of resisting it. But maybe that wouldn’t have produced as much tension.
