First of all, love a movie with a hot villain. Putting that aside, an exceptional film that mixes elements of horror, thriller, action, drama, and mystery to eke out a narrative that asks the audience to question and re-evaluate its knowledge as the film progresses. In doing so, it manages to earn just about every minute of its nearly two hours, seemingly wringing more time out of itself like one might the water from a sponge or, more aptly, like one might wring the blood out of a bandage.
