Honestly, a perfect show. Better and richer with each season. We were so treated to brilliant writing and deep relationships throughout. I cried as much as I laughed and always felt welcome to learn a new perspective. Women!

An incredible season. They almost had me thinking they tanked it, but the twist is the last few minutes of the finale really cemented it for me that this is the best thing they’ve done yet. The character development across the board feels rich and lived in, even when some of them are pissing me off. Tears in my eyes for Deborah Vance. Ava Daniels forever.

In which they do it again. I’m so happy to see these characters grow and subvert our expectations after watching them for a while. However, I can’t help but be even more anxious that the show has to end soon — even if I want to watch it forever. Jean Smart’s and Hannah Einbinder’s chemistry continues to ratchet up and I so appreciate how their work in this season pulls us beyond a crescendo and into the next movement, especially in the finale.

A fan service season that rested on its relationship with its audience, rather than trying to pander to late adopters. It was so rich and full of reference without abusing it, which feels rare in writing these days. I cannot wait to watch this back in the full knowledge of how it ends.
Episode notes
We’ve never been more back! The EGOT of it all. The Sofar Sounds inspiration. The Deborah-Ava joint plotting! We deserve.
The doxxing plot absolutely frying me!
The Peppermint Patty stray…
Not the jailhouse set!
Paul Downs body tea and an anti-AI arc. Okay!
I’m always gonna want more Cherry Jones on my screen.
The Jimmy storyline is breaking my heart. Lauren Weedman reigns supreme.
What did they put in that episode? Because I already know next week is gonna hurt. Luigi mentioned.
I’ve never laughed so much while questioning my entire existence and what it means to be human. This was such a beautiful tribute to the relationships between these characters we’ve come to love. And the callbacks were so perfect.
