What a ride. Richard Gadd does it again. I love his sick, twisted little mind. This is incredibly show over tell, to the point that I feel like we should have told a touch more. But truly excellent throughout and as hard to look away from as it was to keep watching.

Episode notes

  • E1 · Episode 1May 2, 2026

So, this show is gonna stress me. Got it.

  • E2 · Episode 2May 2, 2026

Absolutely nauseating. Storyline feeling a little on the nose so far, but well-produced through and through. Let’s give “Only You” a break for a second.

  • E3 · Episode 3May 10, 2026

    Ruben the terrorist for real.

  • E4 · Episode 4May 16, 2026

I feel sick (complimentary). I would guess this episode is the home of the show’s thesis on cycles of abuse, particularly violent sexual abuse among men and how that interacts with sexuality. Niall is such a heartbreaking character in that you feel badly for him, but he’s also never at a healed place in his journey where he takes any accountability. And what’s wild is that there’s not much accountability to take as much as it’s ownership and conviction in his decisions, many of which have been justified.

  • E5 · Episode 5May 22, 2026

Unfortunately, everyone is lowkey evil. An already dark show, pushing into the bleakest of areas. Ruben being among the public is so terrifying.

  • E6 · Episode 6May 28, 2026

A banger of an ending. My jaw was on the floor.
