Lots of great performances, but so much whiplash between differently amazing moments. I guess I wish this were less frenetic, as much as that’s what it is to be inside Lestat’s point of view. This feels like seeing the show paint itself into a corner, but the team seems unfazed by this…so I guess not?

We are so back! There’s so much richness in here that I wish I could binge this entire season already. The energy and breakneck pace (no pun intended) is so seductive that it becomes easy to disregard the fact that it’s maybe moving a bit too quickly. Absolutely living for Lestat pushing that child—and we’re gonna need to talk about the tour bus setup.
The family that slays together. And Moses Sumney.

As a standalone episode, this was amazing. You can see everyone firing on all cylinders to deliver this work. But I don’t know that it works outside of its runtime, which is a problem of the season as much as of the episode.
